January Breakthroughs

At the beginning of the year, there seems to be the end of January or: time is running fast. We have just laughed and cheered to the new year, set new goals and went to work full of beans and suddenly the first month of this new year war over and for me no new article on this blog war written.

Another disillusion was brought to me by Trossi at the handball training last week. I injured my thigh and walked like an old fragile man for the whole weekend. But it starts to cure and I feel that I will be able to join training next week.

January 2012 Income

There were 5 project making money this month. Page #2 did so for the last time. As most domains will be bought for 12 month I had to decide if I expect the page to make money in the future and I have to admit $4.69 within 12 month is not acceptable to I decided to let it go.

It is pleasant to see that page #8 regenerated after total blackout in December.

Forecast

Project #1, #3 and #4 are up and running. The rankings in Google for these sites are not optimal yet but I can see first results. I think now that the search volume for these sites was too small to go for. So I expect $5 from each on a monthly basis. This is not the big money, but it is a beginning.

I will launch some bigger businesses over the next few months as pages #5, #6, #10 and #11. #11 may be launched in 2013, just wanted to grab that domain right now.

Websites #7, #9, #13, #14 will be niche websites and on page #12 I will publish my first product, it is a joint venture with a friend of mine.

I am aware that the direction of this blog may be seen right now, but I appreciate any comments. Thank You.

Maybe you ask why. Here is my answer: I want to be honest with you and as I want to show you how to make money online you should be able to see the results. I think it’s even a proof showing that the methods I will show do work.

Breakthroughs in 2011

I took action and got started with Internet Business. I initiated research in May 2011 and, more important, used that knowledge to build up my online empire (just kidding), which I achieved by buying some training courses and eBooks.

There are many product out there in the internet and there seems to be on little thing missing – all the time. If you get this information there is a next piece missing and so on. Remember: most of these products are made by marketers and they want and know how to sell.

It is possible to earn money on the internet, I now know. Not all of my websites is currently making money but some are not set up yet. I do not earn enough to make a living of it – but it is a good start. Please remember: you will not get rich overnight.

Income Report for 2011

I started 11 projects so far. Four of them are completed and 7 are processed right now and in different stages. I will explain later on what kind of projects I am running to make money.

The 4 running projects summed up to make me a total of $261.26. Project #8 is worth mentioning, Amazon sales did pretty well. #1 added $19.40 to the result which is not too bad. #2 and #4 just got started and do not rank yet on Google, so there is no money to be made right now.

What does it Cost to Earn Money Online?

As we will see each project need a homepage. You have to pay for your Domain name and the hosting of the site itself. That’s it – there are no more costs right at the beginning.

• Hosting: max. $12.63 for shared hosting. I use one Account for 10 websites. Hosting for us market is a little bit cheaper, no more than $9.95 and if you prepay you can go as little as $4.95 per month.
• Domains: based on the ending of the domain (.com .net etc.) there are small differences in pricing. You normally go for the .com domain if available.  Following domain extensions are in my portfolio at this time

  $12.75 for .ORG incl. WhoisGuard
  $12.75 for .INFO incl. WhoisGuard

$5.90 for .DE respectively $7.58€ for the first year plus $3.78 fee for an escrow service which will be needed if you live outside of Germany. I mention this only for a complete overview of my domains – I am quite sure that you will never start foreign project if you do not speak the language. Please consider that the English speaking market is one of the biggest worldwide.

Often there is a domain included with hosting and you can save these expenses if you want to. I prefer to split hosting and my domains if there maybe any trouble in the future, this allows me to switch the host for example. So there are costs of $2.37 each month or $28.44 for a whole year.

That’s all what you must have to start your own business on the internet. Yes, though…

There are many paid tools and pieces of software out there which make everything easy as there may be free alternatives. You also need some Hardware. Sounds silly, but without computer, monitor etc. you are not able to build your business. If you are up to create your own audio or video podcast, there is even more equipment and software on the table. I will talk in a later posts about the tools I use, but for the moment I assume that you own a computer already, otherwise you would not read this.

So this is my second version of this article. I was up to publish this page on August last year but I wanted to learn more and gain experience on internet marketing.

Make Money Online – there are so many websites all over the internet promising wealth nearly without any work or effort.

What’s behind, how do you make money on the internet? Is it possible to earn a passive income?

By now my answer to all of those questions is: yes. I want to show how it is working, how I do earn money and document my projects for you, so you can get as much as possible out of my mistakes and my successes.

Is it really possible to earn money online?

I was researching the web in May 2011 when I stumbled upon a German website with a very interesting post. It was a summary of English speaking blogs publishing their income generated by those blog. Some of them made up to five figures income. Not too bad.

I was astonished. This was a real income. I started my research on internet marketing, making money online in general. Obvious there were many reliable sources of information but also many dubious offers. Online income seems to be associated with doing nothing and earning a lot. But it is not that easy, that’s for sure. If that was true wouldn’t we all be rich by now?

Earning money online myself now I have to say: yes it is possible. But you must know that there is work to be done and you need to invest an amount of time.

I took as much of my free-time as possible over the last couple of months to research internet marketing. I read many websites and blogs, browsed through forum, bought some eBooks and attended online seminars.

Usually there is a no question asked money back guaranty for 30 or 60 days after online payments. As I was able to return bad product I was only paying for stuff worth the money.

I had never problems returning a product to the marketer – I must admit that I expected something else regarding these guaranties. But my experience tells me that most of the people (all for me, but you never know) are serious – nice surprise.

I want to mention that the information you learn on eBooks or courses can also be found legally on the web for free in many cases. But they may scattered to the four winds – being anywhere on the web. You can save much of your valuable time with information product and the information is in most cases well sorted and packed.

Why Make Money Online Designing Your Home Based Business

Luckily I created my job for myself eleven years ago, straight after school and military duty, together with a good friend of mine, so I am able to work in my own company 9to5 with 10 amiable colleagues.

As I made a business out of my hobby, I was looking around for something new to do in my spare time outside my 9to5. The topic of internet marketing fascinated me. Maybe all the gurus with their blank and shiny marketing assisted. So I tried it out and really had fun designing websites, doing marketing and creating content.

You do not have to be on a special place to do internet marketing nor are you bound to any specific deadlines. That’s why creating your home bases business is ideal to earn an extra side income in addition to your 40 hour work week.

I made my first experience to earn money online in the year 2003, when we bought a running website. It was a paid home page, where users are paid to watch and visit links. At the beginning the revenue of this site was good. But after a short period of time the earnings decreased and the project started to become unprofitable.

We sold that website within a year. On this time we had no experience and not enough time to manage such a huge project. Our Mistake was to focus on the money. That was the worst we could do. We did not care enough about the people using our service, just wanted to earn some money. That is definitely not the way to go for an internet project. Lesson learned.

Get Rich Quick – How to Earn Your First Million Tonight!

Ok – just kidding. Nobody will be a millionaire over night without work. Any internet business involves hard work and cannot be built without personal commitment. I am sure it is possible to earn a decent amount of money with a single product launch – but these are not made on a single day. There is all the work to be done to create the product and afterwards you have to push the marketing.

To learn more about Google and out of private interests i want to get Google Adwords Qualified which includes passing the exam by the end of the year.

Start a Podcast

I will be launching a podcast this year. I did not choose the project I am going for, but that something for second half of the year.

Finish IBM

I am Member of the Internet Business Mastery Academy and want to finish and implement all Modules on at least one site by the end of the year. I will talk more about that later.

Join a Virtual Mastermind

I want to share thought and business ideas with other like minded people through a virtual mastermind group. We are about to start one in January, so hopefully this goals will be the first to achieve.

I am looking for a local mastermind meetup related to business, internet marketing, seo, affiliate marketing. I will start one if I cannot find anything in my area. Already looked up meetup.com but it seems this one is better for the US or English speaking meetings.

Today it is not all about the content or style of this page. It is about taking action, moving on to the next step – to start something new. Don’t you know that queasy feeling if you are up to take a new challenge? Most people do not shoulder to overcome the obstacles on their way. They are confronted with something new, unknown, and maybe a little bit scary – and desist from their dream or whatever. They then seek for new answers, more knowledge more of everything to get started… later.

And, of course, what you do has to be perfect. It’s all about these bright shiny objects, isn’t it? You can work hours, days, weeks, months or maybe years to tweak things up, even with small details. So did I. On 31th of July 2011 I wrote my first article for extrasideincome.com. And guess what, that’s all.

So, message received. It’s not about reaching your goal in one giant step. You and extrasideincome.com will need many steps to go where you are headed to.

I am starting today with this tiny message. I will publish, even there is nothing around ready to go. I did not pick a logo yet, nor a color set, did not install a proper theme yet, nor installed any plugins, did not set up a newsletter service, Facebook site, YouTube Channel nor Twitter Account and did not start my Podcast or even got an Google+ Account. That was much – these open issues appear a little overwhelming if stacked together. Seems like a giant endless big step.

Also the slogan: make money designing your home based business tonight – just a construct of researched keywords regarding this topic – not perfect that’s true. But I am able to think the next few weeks on that one. But nothing is protected from changing, so let’s get started with this one.
